DAY 1

Colombo

On arrival at Colombo international airport you will be welcomed and assisted by our representative and transferred straightway to your hotel to check in. Rest of the time is kept free to recover from jetlag. Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2

Colombo – Habarana (via Pinnawala & Visit Dambulla Rock Temple)

Following breakfast, check out of your hotel and head to Pinnawala. It is an Elephant orphanage that has grown into a popular tourist attraction in Sri Lanka, where abandoned and disabled elephants are lovingly cared for. Many researchers and scientists from all over the world visit this location on a regular basis.

After that, travel to Habarana. Visit the magnificent Dambulla Rock Temple en-route, which is made up of five cave temples built in the first century BC. The temple is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with many sculptures and paintings dating back to the 12th century, as well as those from the 18th century. After that, you'll be taken to Habarana to check into your hotel. Remaining time is at leisure till next morning.

DAY 3

Habarana (Excursion to Anuradapura)

After breakfast, depart for an excursion to Anuradapura, Sri Lanka's largest and oldest city. The city is now renowned for its historical monuments and beautiful architectural examples. The ‘Samadhi' Buddha Statue, which was inaugurated in deep meditation, the holy Bo Tree, under which Buddha received enlightenment 2500 years ago, monasteries, and Ruwanveli Sweya are some of the important tourist attractions to visit here. The Isurumuniya rock temple is another well-known Anuradhapura attraction, as it displays magnificent 3rd Century B.C. rock carvings. Return to Habarana in the evening and take an Elephant ride around the outskirts of the nature reserve. Stay overnight at your hotel.

DAY 4

Habarana (short trekking tour) – Polonnaruwa city tour

Morning after breakfast, proceed for the enjoyable trekking tour to Hiriwaduna. A guide would be accompanying you during the trekking tour.

Later after brief leisure proceed to visit Polonnaruwa city which was built during 11th & 12th Centuries AD and today it is one of the best preserved cities of Srilanka. You will get to see the ruins of the Royal Palace & The Gal Viharaya where wonderful statues of Buddha with Upright, Sedentary and Viharaya postures are kept. Stay overnight at your hotel.

DAY 5

Habarana – Kandy

After breakfast, go to the magnificent Rock Palace cum fortress, which rises 370 metres above the plain. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka's most popular tourist destinations. Kasyapa, the son of King Dhatusena, murdered his father and usurped the throne that rightly belonged to his half-brother Mogallana in the 5th century AD. Mogallana escaped assassination by fleeing to India, but vowed vengeance. Meanwhile, Kasyapa constructed a palace on the summit of Sigiriya and moved his capital from Anuradhapura, afraid of the imminent retaliation. He ruled for 17 years from here, until Mogallana defeated him in battle and relocated the capital to Anuradhapura, converting Sigiriya into a monastery complex.

Later you will be transferred to Kandy, the cultural capital of Srilanka where centuries old legends, traditions and folklore are still alive. On arrival, check in at your hotel. After brief leisure, enjoy the Cultural Dance Show in the evening.

DAY 6

Kandy

Morning enjoy the glorious tour to the Temple of the Tooth Relic and see the culture show performed at the temple. Later proceed to Peradeniya, an exotic botanical garden built by Sinhala King. Later this garden was extended by British and today this 147 acres Garden is amazingly beautiful with variety of trees, plants and blossoming flowers.

Evening you may visit the Kandy Lake constructed by the Last Sinhala King, the arts and crafts centre and bazaar, gem museum and a lapidary. Stay overnight at your hotel.

DAY 7

Kandy (Tea Plantations visit) - Nuwara Eliya

You will have the tea plantations trip this morning. During the tour you will visit the tea plantation and tea factory. The world’s best tea is produced in this region. Enjoy the cup of refreshing tea at the factory and savor the taste of the pure Ceylon tea.

Later you will be transferred to Nuwara Eliya- the premier hill resort of Sri Lanka. On arrival, check in at your hotel. On the sunny days one can see the highest mountain range of Sri Lanka i.e. Pidurutalagala (8282 feet). Nuwara Eliya is also famous for its 18 holes golf courses, which is one of the finest in Asia. DAY 8

Nuwara Eliya – Bentota

Morning after breakfast checkout from your hotel and you will be transferred to Bentota. On arrival, check in at your beautiful beach resort.

Remaining day is at your discretion. Stay overnight at your beach resort.

DAY 9

Excursion to Galle

Morning after breakfast proceed for the excursion to Galle- the chief port of Ceylon. Galle is known for its rich history and cultural beauty which makes it unique comparison to other tourist places in Sri Lanka. Visit to the Galle Fort, the UNESCO World Heritage Site and see the marvelous Dutch architecture that is built in an area of 90 acres. Also enjoy a turtle farm.

Later you will be transferred to Balapitiya to enjoy the boat ride at Madu Ganga. It is basically a backwater which is home to 303 species of plants belonging to 95 families and to 248 species of vertebrate animals. It might be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka. Evening you will be transferred back to your beach resort in Bentota.

DAY 10

Bentota – Colombo

Morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Colombo. On arrival, check in at your beautiful hotel. After brief leisure, enjoy the tour of Colombo city covering the visit to old clock tower, elegant historical building and many places like Pettah Bazzar and Buddhist Temple. Enjoy shopping in the colorful bazaars to take souvenirs, artifacts and Srilanka delights to your home. Stay overnight at your hotel.

DAY 11

Departure

Morning after breakfast, checkout from your hotel and at appropriate time you will be transferred to Colombo international airport for your onward journey back to your home destination. The tour ends.
