Then head to Rajasthan, where you'll ascend to the top of the stunning yellow-hued fort-palace at Amer in Jaipur, visit grand palaces displaying Indo-Islamic architecture, and take a relaxing sunset cruise on Lake Pichola in Udaipur.
You'll also stop by beautiful Hindu and Jain temples, vibrant markets, and miniature painting studios along the way. Then, take the newly launched flight from Udaipur to Aurangabad, the gateway to the famous, ancient cave temples of Ajanta and Ellora. You will have ample time to admire the ornate frescoes, which are considered the finest surviving examples of Indian art, and gaze at the spellbinding Kailasa Temple, which is carved from a single rock and occupies nearly twice the area of the Parthenon in Athens. On arrival at Delhi International airport, you will be welcomed and assisted by our representative and transferred straightway to your hotel to check in. Remaining time is at leisure till next morning.
We would start the morning with a drive past through impressive boulevards and buildings such as President’s Residence and others in Lutyen’s Delhi (New Delhi). Also, drive past through Satish Gujral’s designed Belgian Embassy building. Later you will be to taken for the sightseeing tour of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad) which would include your visit to the lofty Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar (the astonishing victory tower built in the early 13th century).
We plan to make you visit this part of Delhi in a very special manner. We would take you first to one of the most modern areas of Delhi i.e. ‘Connaught Place’ and from here we will make you board the ultra-modern ‘Metro train’. Just a 10 minutes long train journey will make you travel back to 300 years old period where everything still seems to be working in the same old fashion i.e. at ‘Chandni Chowk’ bazaar.
At Chandni Chowk, we would further take you to ‘Khari Baoli Spice Market’ which is a true delight for eyes. It’s truly unbelievable to see that the spices which we normally see in small sachets & packets are here seen in big sacks & carts. A wholesale market with carts full of different spices and people busy negotiating the prices, it’s really a scene.
Morning after breakfast, at appropriate time depart for Agra. En-route you may visit ‘Sikandara’- famous for the beautiful mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Akbar. After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Agra which includes the most beautiful monument of love - The Taj (remains closed on Fridays), Agra Fort and few other attractions. Evening you may enjoy a tonga ride through the legendary city.
Morning after breakfast drive towards “the pink city of India- Jaipur” en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri - the abandoned citadel of Mughal Emperor Akbar.
Finally reach Jaipur and check in. Evening you may visit to the popular market places of Jaipur.
Morning excursion to Amber Fort set in a picturesque location. You will be provided an elephant ride to ascend the Fort.
Later enjoy the half day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. If interested; you may have a visit to the ‘Mahout’s (elephant owners) Colony’ to see the baby elephants and domestic pachyderms.
Morning proceed to auspicious place i.e. Pushkar visiting Ajmer Dargah en-route. Arrive at Pushkar, transfer to the hotel. Later visit the only Brahma temple of the world and holy Pushkar Lake. Stay overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast proceed to the blue city i.e. Jodhpur stopping en-route to see Kalp Vriksha at Mangliyawas. Arrive at Jodhpur, transfer to the hotel. Later visit one of the most impressive forts of India, Mehrangarh Fort and the royal cenotaphs at Jaswant Thada. Also visit Umaid Bhawan Palace – one of the biggest residences of the world. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Morning proceed towards the city of Lakes, Udaipur visiting superb Ranakpur Jain temple en-route. Finally arrive at Udaipur, check in at the hotel. Rest of the time is kept free to experience the natural beauty of this lake town. Stay overnight at the hotel.
During the day enjoy a guided tour of City Palace & its museum, Saheliyon Ki Bari – a garden of maidens, Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum and Jagdish temple. In the evening take an enjoyable boat ride over Lake Pichhola. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Board a morning flight to Aurangabad. You will be assisted at Aurangabad airport and transferred to your hotel to check. After brief leisure, enjoy a guided tour of Bibi-ka-Maqbara. This was built in 1679 as Rabia-ud-daurani’s mausoleum, wife of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb's. Also visit Panchakki - a water wheel that was considered as an engineering marvel in its time. Morning proceed for a full day excursion to Ajanta Caves (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). These caves are located in the beautiful valley of Sahyadri hills and are approximately 107 KMS away from Aurangabad. Ajanta Caves are the best examples of the initial Buddhist architecture, sculptures and cave paintings. Ajanta Caves include Chaitya or the halls of prayers and few monasteries dedicated to Lord Buddha. The frescos on the Cave’s walls and ceilings describe the events from the Buddha’s life, tales of Jatakas (the previous incarnations of the Buddha). Stay overnight at the hotel.
Morning visit Ellora Caves which are also listed as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The monasteries and cave temples at Ellora houses Buddhist prayer halls, monasteries, Hindu & Jai temples. These caves were carved between the 5th century and 11th century AD. Kailash Temple in the Cave No. 19 is the largest structure in the world and no doubt it is one of the most imposing excavations. Afternoon, take a tour of Daulatabad Fort and Shri Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga – it is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Evening, you will be transferred to the airport to catch a flight for Mumbai. You will be assisted at Mumbai airport and transferred to your hotel to check in. Remaining time is at leisure till next morning.
Morning after breakfast take a boat cruise to 05th Century Elephanta Cave Island (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Elephants Cave Island is one of the best and imposing examples of ancient rock- out architecture. Later visit Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum (one of the best museums in India which has rate collections of art, sculptures, coins etc. It is superb heritage building constructed in 1909 and is an beautiful example of the Indo-Saracenic architecture), Mani Bhawan – an old residence of Mahatma Gandhi at Mumbai, see washer man in action at Dhobi Ghat, Marine Drive, Chawpatty Beach and few other attractions.
