A pilgrimage to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji's Holy Shrine is considered one of the holiest pilgrimages in India. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji, known around the world as the Mother who grants her children's wishes, lives in a Sacred Cave in the folds of the three-peaked mountain Trikuta (pronounced as Trikoot).
You will be received at Jammu airport/railway station. Visit the temples and forts viz. Amar Mahal Museum, Bahu Fort, Mubarak Mandi Palace, Panch Peer etc. Later you will be transferred to your hotel in Katra to check in. Remaining time is at leisure.
Early in the morning, begin your trek to Vaishno Devi's Divine Shrine for Darshan. To get to the top of the shrine, one must trek 13 kilometres from Katra. Anyone who is unable to walk the hilly paths can hire a pony or a palanquin. Visit Adhkawari, a sacred cave where Mata Devi is said to have meditated for nine months (around 6 kms away from Katra). Pay a visit to this cave. After 9.5 kilometres of hiking, you can arrive at Sanjhi Chhat. Take a break here for a while. Then return to the Bhawan and obtain the batch without displaying your Yatra slip. Have Mata Vaishno Devi's darshan. Return to Katra and stay in your hotel for the night.
Morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Jammu airport to board a morning flight to Delhi for your onward journey. Tour ends.
