Nagarahole, also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park is located in Kodagu and Mysore District. Nagarhole Park has been designated as India's thirty-seventh Tiger Reserve. UNESCO has listed it as a World Heritage Site. The Nagarahole is bordered by three parks: Bandipur, Mudumalai, and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. Nagarahole, an important Karnataka Tiger Reserve, is a must-see national park for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers, as the forest safari provides a high chance of seeing Bengal Tigers and Asiatic Elephants in their natural habitat. Leopards, Wild Dogs, and Bears can also be found in large numbers in Nagarahole National Park. Wild Gaurs, Antelope, Wild Boars, Sambar Deer, Spotted Deers, and a variety of birds are also commonly seen as well as herbivore animals. Nagarahole National Park also has a large number of Teak and Rosewood trees.
Nagarahole Forest Safari: The Forest Department runs a wildlife safari twice a day, from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., from two separate locations: Nanchhi Gate (Kutta) and Veeranahosalli Gate. Slots are often small, so making a reservation ahead of time is recommended.
Bangalore – Nagarhole National Park
At appropriate time you will be picked up from your place of stay in Bangalore or from Bangalore airport and transferred straightway to Nagarhole National Park. On arrival, check in at unique Kabini River Lodge. After brief leisure proceed for your first jungle safari in an open jeep into Nagarhole National Park. Post safari, return back to your resort and enjoy a wildlife movie followed by dinner. Stay overnight at your wildlife resort.
Nagarhole National Park
Early morning after tea/coffee proceed for another jeep safari to track the wildlife of Nagarhole National Park, also have a ride on the elephant in the jungle. After safari return back to your hotel and enjoy late breakfast. After lunch and brief leisure, proceed for a trip through the serene backwaters of the Kabini River on a motor boat. You will get to see a variety of wildlife and birdlife during this boat ride. Stay overnight at your wildlife resort.
Nagarhole – Departure
Early morning after tea/coffee proceed for another jeep safari, following a different route to track the wildlife of Nagarhole National Park. After safari return back to your hotel and enjoy late breakfast. Later check out and at appropriate time you will be transferred to Bangalore airport/railway station for your onward journey.
