The trips usually start in Delhi moving south to the site of Taj Mahal at Agra, then west, to the desert landscapes of Rajasthan. It is normally possible to do the trip by coach or private journey through most tour operators. The Golden Triangle is now a well traveled route providing a good spectrum of the country’s different landscapes. The circuit is about 720 km by road. Each leg is about 4 to 6 hours of drive.

DAY 2

Delhi:

We would start the morning with a drive past through impressive boulevards and buildings such as President’s Residence and others in Lutyen’s Delhi (New Delhi). Also, drive past through Satish Gujral’s designed Belgian Embassy building. Later you will be to taken for the sightseeing tour of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad) which would include your visit to the lofty Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar (the astonishing victory tower built in the early 13th century).

We plan to make you visit this part of Delhi in a very special manner. We would take you first to one of the most modern areas of Delhi i.e. ‘Connaught Place’ and from here we will make you board the ultra-modern ‘Metro train’. Just a 10 minutes long train journey will make you travel back to 300 years old period where everything still seems to be working in the same old fashion i.e. at ‘Chandni Chowk’ bazaar.

At Chandni Chowk, we would further take you to ‘Khari Baoli Spice Market’ which is a true delight for eyes. It’s truly unbelievable to see that the spices which we normally see in small sachets & packets are here seen in big sacks & carts. A wholesale market with carts full of different spices and people busy negotiating the prices, it’s really a scene.
