Our trek to the base of Mount Everest provides the ultimate trekking experience. This meticulously planned itinerary reflects our proven track record, with ample time for safe acclimatization - the key to any successful Everest region trek. On our Everest Base Camp trek, we ascend in true expedition style with our guides, crew, and porters. Our route takes us through the well-known villages of Namche and Khumjung, as well as the Thyangboche monastery, all of which reflect the renowned Sherpa culture. Ascents to Kala Pattar (5545m), from which you can see the classic climbing routes to Mount Everest's summit, are included. A visit to Everest Base Camp, where expeditions prepare to climb the world's highest peak, is also included.
Upon arrival at Kathmandu international airport, you will be assisted by our representative and transferred to your hotel to check in. Rest of the time is kept free to recover from jetlag. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Later visit the Kathmandu Darbar Square, Patan Darbar Square (Both UNESCO World Heritage Sites) and Swayambhunath Gompa – it is one of the most magnificent Buddhist Chaityas in the world. It is believed to be 2000 years old structure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Morning you would be transferred to Kathmandu airport to board the flight for Lukla. Arrive at Lukla airport and enjoy a half day trek to Phakding (2640m).
Today trek to Namche Bazaar. The trail climbs steeply through a pine forest to a vantage point where we get our first glimpse of Mt Everest. The trail continues to climb and meander to Namche, and the sight of this prosperous village nestled within a horseshoe-shaped valley opposite the stunning peak of Kongde Ri is well worth the effort. After lunch, you may stroll to the Tibetan trader's stalls or the Sherpa shops for a good deal.
The day is kept free for acclimatization and to explore the surrounding areas.
Today trek to Tengbuche. Enjoy the splendid views of the world's highest peaks.
Trek to Pheriche, where we will get a chance to visit the oldest Gompa (monastery) in the Khumbu Region.
During the day visit Nangkartshang Monastery and enjoy the incredible views of Makalu (5th highest mountain in the world). Remaining day is at leisure to acclimatize.
Today, trek to Lobuje, enjoy the great views of Nuptse peak. We will keep moving at a slow & steady pace on gaining altitude. As we move above the tree line, the slopes become quite desolate. Views of various peaks, including Cholatse and Lobuche, unfold in front of us in this contrasting and spectacular landscape. We climb the Dhugla Ridge and onto the moraine in the direction of the Khumbu Glacier. Many rock cairns can be seen, many of which are dedicated to the memory of climbers who attempted the area's high mountains, including Everest. Temperatures drop as we become more exposed among the glacial moraine. Today has been filled with breathtaking views of Pumori and Nuptse. The hill above the town provides excellent sunset views of Nuptse. Overnight stay in an eco-lodge.
Visit Kala Pattar (18,200 ft), with unbelievable and up close views of Everest – maybe the best viewing point in the world.
Trek to Everest Base Camp (17,600 ft), the starting point for many climbing expeditions of Everest. Trek further to Dingboche (4,410 m, 14,500 ft), where the mountain views are outstanding.
Trek to Tengbuche.
Trek to Khumjung (12,400 ft), with an option to visit Khumjung Monastery and the Hillary Primary School (founded by Sir Edmund Hillary).
Trek to Ghat (2,550 m, 8,400 ft). Enjoy your riverside camping.
Morning trek to Lukla and stay overnight in your camp.
Morning board a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu for your onward journey. Tour ends.
